Handmade lampshades, vintage finds, and creative workshops
Welcome to Lucas Miles Atelier, located on the beach in beautiful La Herradura, Southern Spain

Light & Shade
At Lucas Miles Atelier, we’re passionate about lighting—especially the charm of vintage lamps and the beauty of handmade shades. We love uncovering forgotten treasures and designing custom lampshades to complement them, creating truly one-of-a-kind lighting pieces.
Have an old shade you'd like to refresh? We can upcycle it using the original frame, reimagining it with your choice of fabric, lining, and trim. Whether it’s a table lamp, pendant light, or wall sconce, we can help you add a splash of colour, a touch of elegance, or something entirely unique to your home.
We also offer matching cushions to complete the look.

INTRODUCING
Our featured artists

Noor Houtakkers
Noor is a 31-year-old artist based in Amsterdam, where she lives with her husband, their newborn baby girl Mickey, and their faithful, adorable dog Sulley. Her work is deeply inspired by the captivating beauty of the natural world and its profound connection to the organic essence of the female form. Through her art, Noor explores the intricate relationship between femininity and nature, seeking to celebrate the inherent beauty of women while drawing from the patterns and textures found in the environment.
Working across a diverse range of mediums — from digital art and painting to textiles and tattooing — Noor brings to life the symbiotic bond between woman and nature. Each medium offers her a unique way to express different facets of this vision, whether through intricate textile designs or vibrant digital compositions. Her art is a heartfelt celebration of the connectedness and beauty shared by women and the natural world.
Noor’s digital prints are available exclusively at the Lucas Miles Atelier.
Javier (Fran) Korral
Award-winning international artist Frank Korrall (signature FranK), from the village of Nigüelas, creates bold, expressive paintings and sculptures inspired by both people and place. His favourite subjects range from portraits — real and imagined — to sweeping landscapes of the Alpujarras, Granada, the Lecrín Valley, and the southern Spanish coast.
With over 4,000 works to his name and exhibitions in Oslo, Paris, Germany, Australia, and across Spain, Frank’s career spans more than 50 national and international shows. Trained in design, sculpture, and stone carving, he combines technical mastery with an instinctive, emotional approach to his art. Many of his pieces are created on commission, while others emerge simply because “the body asks” him to make them.
Frank’s work can now be discovered in La Herradura at Lucas Miles Atelier, alongside a curated collection of art and design celebrating creativity and craftsmanship.
Annie Peters
Annie Peters is the creator behind Sweet Nature Photography—a collection of striking, heartfelt images inspired by the beauty of the natural world. Her work includes fine art photography prints and handmade art cards, available framed or ready to gift, now exclusively in La Herradura at Lucas Miles Atelier.
Although British-born, Annie spent 14 years living in Georgia, USA, where she discovered her love for photography—especially bird photography. Her fascination with hummingbirds became the foundation of her portfolio and her enduring artistic style.
After returning to the UK in 2017, Annie expanded her portfolio, selling at local galleries, craft fairs, and country retail outlets in Kent and North Wales. Her delicate yet vibrant images quickly became favourites among collectors.
Now settled in La Herradura, Spain, Annie has created a special Spanish collection celebrating the region’s charm through colourful windows, striking blue doors, and the flora and fauna of Andalusia. From sunlit bougainvillea to fishing village details, her photography beautifully reflects coastal life in southern Spain.
You can often spot Annie wandering the streets with her camera, ready to capture the next perfect shot for her ever-growing portfolio.
