A New Chapter for Lucas Miles Atelier and Heartfelt Thank You

A New Chapter for Lucas Miles Atelier and Heartfelt Thank You

There's something bittersweet about change, even when it's the right kind. So before anything else, I want to say a simple and very genuine 'thank you' to everyone who has walked through the door in La Herradura, browsed the shelves, brought their tired old lampshades, signed up for a tufting workshop, or simply stopped to chat. You have been the heart of this place, and I won't forget it.

April 30th will be our last day in the shop - It feels important to say that clearly, and with love rather than sadness because this isn't an ending, it's an evolution.

What's Changing

From May, Lucas Miles Atelier moves fully online. Our Shopify store at [lucasmiles.com](https://lucasmiles.com) will continue to be your home for handmade lampshades, restored vintage lamps, cushions, artwork, and all the beautiful things we love to curate and create. If anything, going online means we can reach more people - not just visitors to the Costa Tropical, but customers across Europe who share our passion for considered, handcrafted interiors.

We're also continuing our beloved tufting workshops - just in a slightly different form. Small, intimate groups, a relaxed setting, and the same hands-on creative experience you've come to know. Details on upcoming dates will be posted here on the blog and on our Instagram, so make sure you're following us there.

What's Not Changing

Everything that makes Lucas Miles Atelier what it is stays exactly the same.

Handmade lampshades are still made here, by hand, one at a time with carefully chosen fabrics, beautiful linings, finished with the same attention to detail as always, brought to every piece. If you have a vintage lamp base that needs a new shade, or an old shade you'd love to see transformed, we still offer a bespoke and restoration service - just reach out to us at info@lucasmiles.com and we'll guide you through it, even remotely.

Our lamp restoration service continues too. If you have a vintage lamp with tired electrics, we can help you bring it safely back to life - rewired to current standards and paired with a shade that does it justice.

And our passion for finding and restoring beautiful vintage pieces? That's going absolutely nowhere.

A Note to Our La Herradura Community

To our local customers, the expats, the residents, the visitors who became regulars, please know that we remain rooted here on the Costa Tropical. This is our home, and the warmth and creativity of this community has shaped everything I do is still here, just not behind a shopfront.

If you ever want to chat about a project, a lamp, a shade, or just want to say hello, our inbox is always open. I'd love to hear from you.

Come and See Us Before We Close

If you haven't visited yet or if you'd like to come and say goodbye in person the doors are open until April 30th. Come and browse, pick up something beautiful, or just have a chat. I'd love to see you.

After that, you'll find us at lucasmiles.com, on Instagram @lucasmilesatelier, and always at the end of an email.

With warmth and gratitude,

Katie
